5th Grade Homework Expectations:
A pivotal part of our scholars’ 5th grade experience is homework. The 5th grade team has a uniform homework expectation that aligns with WCPSS policy.
The purpose of assigned homework in 5th grade is to see how well students independently demonstrate skills taught. It is intended to reinforce concepts taught each day, as well as to provide opportunities for students to enhance their time management skills. We use student work performance to help drive our instruction and provide extra support for students when needed.
